新中国诞生了一大批优秀的革命历史题材美术创作,其中就有很多表现毛泽东形象的经典作品。每个时期的优秀作品都有其鲜明的特色,同时又与其所处的历史时代紧密相连。从建国初期毛泽东形象的民族化探索,到"文革"时期毛泽东形象的理想化宣传,再到新时期毛泽东形象的多元化发展,革命历史题材美术创作中毛泽东形象不断传承和创新,这既反映了时代的变迁,也体现出中国现代文化的价值内涵和主旨要义。

A large number of excellent artistic creations on the historical and revolutionary theme have arisen in new China,among which there are many classic works on the image of Mao Zedong. The excellent works in each period have their own distinctive features,meanwhile they are closely related to the historical era they are in. From the exploration of nationalization on Mao Zedong’s image during the early days of new China,to the idealized publicity on Mao Zedong’s image during the Cultural Revolution,and to diversified development on Mao Zedong’s image during the new period,Mao Zedong’s image in excellent artistic creations on the historical and revolutionary theme has been continually inherited and innovated,which reflects both the changes of the times and embodies the value connotation and substance of modern Chinese culture.
