基于语料库的《京华烟云》两译本转折连词的显隐研究

A Corpus-based Study of Explicitation and Implicitation of Adversative Conjunctions in the Two Versions of Moment in Peking

本文基于语料库研究《京华烟云》张振玉译本和郁飞译本中转折连接词的显化与隐化现象。平行语料分析发现,两个译本中转折连接词的使用都存在语际显化与隐化现象;类比语料分析发现,两个译本中的转折连接词都存在显著的类比显化现象;比较而言,张振玉译本中转折连词的显化和隐化程度高于郁飞译本。本文从英汉语言差异、翻译共性和译者因素三个角度分析了两个译本中转折连词显化和隐化产生的根源。

The paper conducts a corpus-based exploration of the explicitation and implicitation of the adversative conjunctions in the two Chinese versions of Moment in Peking translated by Zhang Zhenyu and Yu Fei respectively. The parallel corpus analysis shows that both inter-language explicitation and implicitation of the adversative conjunctions can be detected in the two versions;the comparable corpus analysis shows that significant comparable explicitation exists in the two versions;and both explicitation and implicitation are more striking in Zhang’s version than in Yu’s version. The paper then investigates the underlying motivations from three aspects, namely the difference between Chinese and English, the translation universal and the translator.
