Based on laws,rules,guidelines and standards,main contents,characteristics and recent progress of nuclear plant environmental impact assessment were introduced.Some problems and difficulties that should be paid attention to in practical work were discussed.It was pointed out that radioactive source term,air diffusion condition and predictive model had uncertainty.Issues such as identification of exposure pathways,investigation of environmental and human activities and public acceptance were emphasized.
