Green Development: New Strategy for China’s Economic Development Under the Background of the New Normal

在改革开放40年多的进程中,中国经济实现了大发展,无论是经济总量还是经济发展水平都实现了大跨越。然而,在发展经济的同时,中国并没有能够同时很好地顾及生态环境方面的问题,致使一些地区出现经济发展了但生态环境却恶化了的局面。2013年中国GDP增速从高速变为中高速,标志着中国经济发展进入了新常态。今后,中国的经济发展模式应该是可持续的发展模式,将绿色发展作为新常态背景下国家经济发展的新战略。绿色发展的核心内涵就是经济社会可持续发展,其动力来源于中国区域经济增长的非均衡性,克服发展方式与发展理念的约束条件,实现经济与生态环境协调可持续发展。

In the process of 40 years’reform and opening-up,China’s economy has achieved great development.Both the economic aggregate and the level of economic development have made a great leap.However,while developing the economy,China has not been able to take good care of the ecological environment at the same time.The problems in some areas lead to deterioration of the ecological environment.The growth of GDP from high speed to medium and high speed in 2013 marks that China's economic development has entered the new normal.In the future,China's economic development model should be sustainable,and green development should be set as a new strategy for national economic development under the background of the new normal.The core connotation of green development is the sustainable development of economy and society.Its power comes from the non-equilibrium of regional economic growth in China,overcoming constraints of the development mode and the development concept,and achieving coordinated and sustainable development of economy and ecological environment.
