Professor’s Sun Xiaosheng’s Clinical Experience of Combination of Medicinal and Acupuncture for Channel Regulating to Assist Reproduction

Professor Sun Xiaosheng puts forward channel regulating to assist reproduction theory to prevent premature ovarian failure(POF). It holds that the root cause of POF is kidney deficiency and liver depression, which leads to blood stasis etc. The pathogenesis of POF is associated with spleen and kidney yang deficiency plus imbalance between thoroughfare and conception channel, which is similar to physiological disturbances in hypothalamus-pituitary-adrenal gland system, as well as sub-health and chronic fatigue syndrome. Professor Sun Xiaosheng applies kidney nourishing, liver dispersing and spleen strengthening methods to regulate the smooth flow of qi and to nourish the postnatal foundation(kidney) by tonifying prenatal foundation(spleen).
