摘要
与使用远程和集中式云数据中心资源相反,在网络边缘使用分散资源,来处理更靠近用户设备(例如智能手机和平板电脑)的数据是即将到来的计算范例,称为雾/边缘计算。与云相比,雾/边缘资源通常是资源受限的,异构的和动态的,从而使资源管理成为需要解决的重要挑战。本文讨论了雾/边缘计算中资源管理技术的架构领域的关键贡献。
Contrary to using distant and centralized cloud data center resources,employing decentralized resources at the edge of a network for processing data closer to user devices,such as smartphones and tablets,is an upcoming computing paradigm,referred to as fog/edge computing.Fog/edge resources are typically resource-constrained,heterogeneous,and dynamic compared to the cloud,thereby making resource management an important challenge that needs to be addressed.This paper discusses the key contributions of the architecture of resource management techniques in fog/edge computing.
