吐鲁番鄯善洋海墓地出土皮铠甲

Unearthed Leather Armor from Shan Shan Yang Hai Cemetery of Turfan

洋海墓地位于新疆鄯善县吐峪沟乡洋海夏村、吐鲁番盆地火焰山南麓的荒漠戈壁地带,墓地依自然地形分布在三处相对独立的台地上。2003年3月,由吐鲁番地区文物局和新疆文物考古研究所共同组建考古队,对洋海墓地进行了抢救性发掘。因特殊的地理环境使洋海墓地大量的有机质文物得以很好的保存,皮革制品更是大宗,如皮衣、皮帽、皮鞋(靴)、皮弓箭袋,以及压、刻出精美花纹的皮盒、皮包,马辔头、马鞍具和皮带、皮条等。其中2号墓地127号墓出土了一领设计巧妙、做工考究的皮铠甲,整体铠甲用两种不同形状不同大小的优质熟牛皮制成。这与中原出土铠甲十分相似,可分出左肩、右肩、前胸、腹块、左肋、右肋、后背、垂缘几部分。

Yanghai Cemetery is located in Yanghai Xia Village,Tuyuq village,Shanshan County,Xinjiang,which is desert and Gobi zone at the southern foot of flaming Mountain in Turfan Basin.The graveyard is distributed in three relatively independent terraces according to the natural terrain.In March 2003,an ar.chaeological team was set up by Turfan Regional Bureau of Cultural relics and Xinjiang Institute of Cultur.al relics and Archaeology to carry out rescue excavations of Yanghai Cemetery.Because of the special geo.graphical environment,a large number of organic matter cultural relics in Yanghai Cemetery can be well preserved,and leather products are even larger,such as leather clothes,leather hats,leather shoes(boots),leather bow quiver bags,as well as leather boxes,leather bags,bridle,saddle gear and belts,leather strips,and so on.Among them,Tomb 127 of No.2 Cemetery was unearthed with a skillfully designed leather ar.mor,and the whole armor was made of two kinds of high quality cooked cowhide of different shapes and sizes,which is very similar to the armor from the Central Plains,and which can be divided into left shoul.der,right shoulder,chest,abdominal mass,left ribs,right ribs,back,vertical edges.
