The Qocho City in the Late 19th Century and Early 20th Century

19世纪末20世纪初,众多外国探险家来到吐鲁番考察盗掘,其中就有俄国的奥登堡。根据其考察报告中高昌故城遗址的发掘记录及所存照片,与现今遗址进行比对,可以得知高昌故城在近百年间部分建筑物本来的变化,也可以根据当时考察报告中留存的遗址信息探察目前已消失或接近消失的文物遗址。通过对考察报告及照片中记录的当时的遗址信息进行比对查找,对研究高昌故城有一定的参考价值。

In the late 19th century and early 20th century,many explorers came to Turfan to explore,in.cluding Russian explorer Oden Berg.We could see the general changes of the sites Qocho City itself in the last hundred years by comparing the photos and recording sites in his expedition report with that in nowa.days,and which also helps us to find some vanished relics sites or remains,which will be very useful and valuable for us to understand and research Qocho City in the future.
