汤家汇位于安徽省金寨县西北边陲,北面与河南省商城县接壤,1932年10月立煌县设立前隶属商城县。汤家汇是金寨县第一个党组织的诞生地,更是鄂豫皖革命根据地的中心区。鄂豫皖省委下辖的三个道委中有两个道委设在汤家汇。汤家汇至今保存革命遗址40多处,其中国家级文物保护单位4处,省级保护单位11处。这些红色遗迹记录了鄂豫皖边区革命火种的传播发展,革命形势的跌宕起伏,政权组织的繁荣健全,革命斗争的持续与坚守。
