In recent years, with the rapid development of the domestic economy, urbanization construction has also been expanding and extending, which has promoted the development of the construction industry. However, with the increase of the types of engineering projects, various types of engineering economic management risks have gradually emerged, which has affected the stability of the development of the construction industry. Therefore, this paper combines the characteristics of construction engineering economic management, summarizes the potential risks in current engineering projects, and proposes targeted preventive measures, which can greatly improve the economic benefits of the owner and construction units, and promote the sustainable development of the industry.
