Research on the Inheritance of Lingnan Traditional Architecture

基于岭南建筑的发展历程,提出对其继承方式的疑问。综合国内众多学者在岭南建筑发展史研究中的表述,总结出现代性对岭南建筑传承的重要作用,发现岭南传统建筑的发展历程存在误区。现代化所表现出来的多样性,使得岭南建筑在现代化的进程中表现出历史曲折性,通过研究现代性的内涵、表现、特性等等,来树立岭南建筑人的正确现代观念,以适应当代的现代性语境,创作出既有地域性,更有时代性、文化性的优异作品。

Based on the development history of Lingnan architecture, this paper raises questions about its inheritance method. This paper summarizes the expressions of many scholars in the history of Lingnan’s architectural development and summarizes the important role of modernity in the inheritance of Lingnan architecture. It is found that there are some misunderstandings in the development of Lingnan traditional architecture. The diversity manifested by modernization makes Lingnan architecture show historical twists and turns in the process of modernization. By studying the connotation, performance, characteristics, etc. of modernity, it establishes the correct modern concept of Lingnan architects to adapt to contemporary context. Thus, create outstanding works with regional, contemporary and cultural features.
