出土战国文献中的虚词“唯(隹)”有副词、连词等用法。副词“唯(隹)”可以分为语气副词和范围副词两类。连词“唯(隹、虽)”可分为让步连词和原因连词两类。从西周到春秋战国时期,语气副词“唯”呈现递减的趋势,范围副词“唯”和让步连词“唯(虽)”呈现递增趋势。出土战国文献中“唯”作语气副词、范围副词和让步连词的数量是大致持平的。原因连词“唯”很少见。范围副词“唯”由语气副词“唯”引申而来,让步连词“唯(虽)”也是由语气副词“唯”虚化而来。

The adverb “wei” can be divided into two classes of modal adverb and range adverb. The conjunction “wei” can be divided into two classes of concession conjunction and reason conjunction. From the XiZhou era to the Warring States Period, The modal adverb “wei” presented a decreasing trend ,while the range adverb “wei”and the concession conjunction “wei”presented an increasing trend. The number of “wei”as modal adverb, range adverb and as concession conjunction is roughly equal in the unearthed literature of the Warring States Period. The reason conjunction is rarely seen. The range adverb “wei” is extended by the modal adverb “wei”, The modal adverb “wei” is grammaticalized into a concession conjunction “wei”.
