The fouling,hazards and fouling removal of a flue gas desulfurization system are introduced. The causes of fouling in flue gas desulfurization system are analysed ,including water quality,pH value,composition and properties of flue gas before desulfurization,etc. Supplementary water is fresh water with total hardness of 130 mg /L and calcium content of 100 mg /L ,which is the root cause of fouling. For the causes of fouling,a series of technical reforms and preventive measures have been taken for flue gas desulfurization system,including optimizing process flow,adjusting operation parameters,improving maintenance quality and strengthening routine maintenance. Finally,the fouling problem has been improved,and the standard emission of SO2 from purified flue gas has been guaranteed.
