"监视"大致可以定义为从事社会、空间和数据监控的一切技术或实践,是世界电影中一种普遍存在的情节和主题,从某种程度上与人们的窥私心理有关,也反映出不同文化背景中人们对隐私的不同理解。香港监控电影因其独特的历史文化语境在世界监控电影中占有重要地位,港版《后窗》和《无间道》是其典型代表。此外,香港独具特色的赌片和屋邨片,如《危楼春晓》和《七十二家房客》,更是通过监视的主题折射出香港人生活的方方面面。
Surveillance,which can be broadly defined as any technology or practice engaged in social,spatial,and data monitoring,is a ubiquitous plot and theme in world cinema.To some extent,it relates to people’s voyeuristic psychology and reflects different understandings of privacy in different cultural contexts.With its unique historical and cultural background,Hong Kong’s surveillance movies play an important role in the genre globally.The Hong Kong version of Holywood movie The Rear Window,which is called Backyard Adventures,and another classic named Infernal Affairs,are two typical representatives.In addition,Hong Kong’s other unique film genres,gambling films and tenement movies,such as In the Face of Demolition and The House of 72 Tenants,reflect various aspects of Hong Kong people’s lives through the cinematic exploration of surveillance.
