Review and Reflection on the Development of Bus Rapid Transit System in China

为最大程度的发挥中运量公交的功效,梳理了我国BRT系统20年的发展历史,主要经历了“概念模仿期、网络初融期、品质探索期”三大阶段,通过详细分析多个案例城市的发展经验,总结了每个阶段的发展共性和瓶颈。面对个性化出行旺盛、大数据蓬勃建设的新时代发展背景,分析表明我国新阶段BRT发展应从用地协同、交通系统融合、智慧引擎、MaaS理念等角度多管齐下,以实现BRT系统的健康可持续发展。

This paper systematically reviews the development history of BRT system in China in the past 20 years, and considers that BRT system has experienced three stages of "Line Concept Stage, Network Integration Stage and Quality Exploration Stage ". Through detailed analysis of the development experience of several case cities, this paper summarizes the development commonness and bottleneck of each stage. In the face of the new era development background of ecological civilization development and vigorous informatization construction, it is believed that BRT development in the new stage in China should be carried out from the perspectives of land use coordination, traffic system integration, ITS as engine and MaaS as concept, so as to realize the healthy and sustainable development of BRT system.
