摘要
学生干部是学生中的优秀群体,各种表现都受到广泛关注,特别是学业成绩。传统观点认为担任学生干部会耽误学习,那么是否学生干部与学业成绩不可兼得?研究以“中国教育追踪调查”北京市2008级大学生为样本,通过多元回归、倾向得分匹配和双重差分等方法,分析担任学生干部对学业成绩的影响与作用机制后发现:担任学生干部对学业成绩产生稳定显著的正向影响,担任干部后学业成绩有明显提升;担任学生干部是一种有效提升学习动机的教育过程,促使学生拥有更强烈掌握知识、获得好成绩的意愿,这种机制能帮助学生干部提高学业成绩。研究有助于更好地理解学生干部的教育意义与价值,为高校学生干部队伍建设与人才培养提供参考。
The performance of student cadres in colleges receives widespread attention, especially their academic achievement. A traditional view holds that being a student cadre jeopardizes academic achievement. Based on the tracking data of Beijing college students enrolled in 2008 from Chinese Educational Panel Survey, this paper analyzes the influencing mechanism of being a student cadre on academic achievement through multiple regression, propensity score matching and difference-in-difference model. It is found that being a student cadre has a stable and significant positive effect on academic achievement. After serving as a cadre, college students' academic achievement has been significantly improved. It is considered that being a student cadre is an effective educational process to promote learning motivation. Student cadres have the strong goal and willingness to acquire knowledge and achieve higher scores, which enables them to get better academic achievement. The findings may shed light on the educational significance and value of student cadres, and provide references for the building and training of student cadre teams.
