By summarizing the characteristics of medical development in different historical periods and the requirements for medical workers, the author proposes the "three subjects", which is suitable for the era, namely, scientific research, scientific invention, and popular science creation, as the development plan of clinicians. The direction is conducive to discovering the personal potential of physicians, cultivating people’s creativity and enthusiasm, creating self-brand, striving for a good development platform for their own development, and better adapting to the needs of the new era society and medical development.
