美国和英国在原子能领域的合作经历过高峰和低谷,但是核情报合作却因其自身的特殊性而并未受到过多影响。出于对二战局势的考量和冷战开始后维护自身利益的需求,美英两国在对苏核情报问题上克服了时局与政策变化带来的障碍,以合作的形式实现了双赢。美国和英国情报机关开展了形式多样的联合行动,共同发掘有关苏联的核情报,并对苏联早期核试验进行了密切地监视和评估,由此取得的成果也给两国自身和国际局势演变带来了深远的影响。

The cooperation between the United States and Great Britain in the field of atomic energy has experienced peaks and troughs,but nuclear intelligence has not been affected too much because of its own uniqueness.Considering the war situation and the need to safeguard their own interests after the Cold War,the two countries have overcome the obstacles brought about by policy changes on nuclear intelligence and achieved a win-win situation through cooperation.American and British intelligence agencies carried out various joint operations to explore the nuclear intelligence of the Soviet Union and actively monitored and evaluated the early nuclear tests of the Soviet Union.The results thus achieved also have a far-reaching impact on the two countries as well as the international situation.
