Discussions about Townscape Movement

随着近年国际理论界对"城镇景观"运动关注度的提升,城镇景观运动及其指代的城市设计思潮在城市、建筑、景观等领域的地位逐渐凸显。基于国内与其相关研究成果较少的现状,对城镇景观运动的起源、背景、发起及发展作较为系统的论述,并总结出:城镇景观为始于1930年代中期,源于《建筑评论》编辑对"如画"的偶然性关注与对当时社会因素的回应,以"如画"作为理论基础与政治噱头,由《建筑评论》发起的一场探索性的城市设计实践和理论思潮的论争运动。

Townscape Movement is becoming more and more important in the urban and other relevant field,with more global attention paid to it these years. While there has been little domestic research on Townscape, this paper discusses its theoretical origin, background, launch and development process, and concludes that Townscape is a Picturesque theory based on heuristic urban design practice and theory campaign that launched by The Architectural Review in the middle of 1930 s, which was caused by the editors’ Picturesque interest and the specific social situation.
