This paper mainly studies the characteristics of power system automation technology and its application in many fields. The" analytical synthesis method" is adopted as a research method.Taking the technical characteristics of power system automation and the different characteristics of each part of power supply as the starting point,the actual application of power system automation in related fields is analyzed in detail.
