论王韬《春秋左氏传集释》的地理考证特点

On the Features of Geographical Research of Wang Tao’s Explanations of Chun Qiu and Zuo Zhuan

王韬《春秋左氏传集释》因成书海外,从未付梓刊行,故不为学界熟知。《春秋左氏传集释》中,地理考证类内容丰富,条目众多,且其考稽文献、不囿成说,表现出鲜明的学术特点:考证详实,阐发经传;发疑抉异,精微审慎;以实辨伪,综贯经传。《春秋左氏传集释》对清代《春秋》经传的地理学研究多有承继,同时也有发展和超越,是晚清独具特色的经学研究著作。

Wang Tao’s Explanations of Chun Qiu and Zuo Zhuan is not well-known as it was written overseas and it has never been published.The book contains a great variety of geographical research clauses with ancient literature collected and investigated.However,traditional conclusions were challenged and not wholly accepted by the author.The book enjoys distinct academic features as follows:it has abundant examinations so as to interpret the Chun Qiu and the Zuo Zhuan;it is prudent to discover the differences;the author’s examinations are always precise;it distinguishes the false according to historical facts,which are based on the literature.Explanations of Chun Qiu and Zuo Zhuan followed the geographical research on Chun Qiu of the Qing Dynasty,meanwhile it also has its own developments and innovations,which makes it a unique study of Confucian classics in the late Qing Dynasty.
