摘要
罗马时期关于黑人的艺术品无论在风格还是主题上都是对希腊时代的继承和延续。无论宗教题材的艺术作品还是反映罗马现实社会生活主题的艺术作品,既有与罗马诸神共生的黑人(埃塞俄比亚人),也有作为罗马高官贵族或富人的黑人,以及各行各业的从业者。这与种族主义学者认为的罗马艺术品反映了黑人在罗马社会中的地位低贱的观点大相径庭。
The artworks about black people in Roman times were the inheritance of the Greek and Hellenistic era concerning both style and theme.There were all kinds of black figures in Roman artworks,be it related to religious subject or real social life,such as blacks with Roman gods,noblemen as high officials or rich blacks,and practitioners from all walks of life.It was entirely contrary to the racist’s view that Roman artworks reflected the inferior status of blacks in Roman society.
