中国古典诗歌发生发展问题,历来文学史注重强调诗与骚两大源头。而在诗三百之外仍出现与“诗”同时发生或更早传唱的古歌、古谣谚。这些流传千载的口头文学,质朴天然、寓意深厚。从艺术手法与乐歌形式上看,其六义兼备,句式多样,已初具唐前及初唐诗歌的基本创作模式。其中,带有警示性的谚语,采入诗词,成为诗词中的典故。从我国诗歌的发展史上看,古歌、古谣谚可与诗、骚并提,实为中国古典诗歌发生发展的另一重要源头。

Regarded as two main origins of Chinese literature history,the importance of The Book of Songs and Li Sao have been emphasized as when referring the development of Chinese classical poetry. The origin of ancient songs,ballads and proverbs can date from the age of The Book of Songs or even earlier than that period. Characterized as natural and meaningful,the mentioned-above oral literature had been generally spread for thousand years. The above oral literature had rich meanings and multiple sentence structures in terms of means of artistic expression and forms of songs,which can be regarded as the basic creation model of Before the Tang Dynasty and early Tang Dynasty poetry. The cautionary proverbs adopted in Poetry and Ci-Poetry had gradually become the way of poetry written. Ancient songs,ballads and proverbs are of equal significance with The Book of Songs and Li Sao in the historical development of Chinese poetry,which can be considered as another vital origin of Chinese classical poetry.
