"White Teeth" is the British immigrant female writer Zadie Smith’s first work. The novel deals with many themes such as race, religion, genetic engineering, history and culture, etc. It tells about the issues of ethnic identity, ethnic identity, intergenerational, language, religion and class that three families from different ethnic and cultural backgrounds face in the country of immigration. Based on the changes of generations, this paper analyzes the difficulties of cultural identity faced by immigrants under the background of multi-culture, and how to find the sense of belonging in the cultural differences, and reveals that immigrants’ cultural identity is mixed, diverse and non-single. Confirming cultural identity in heterogeneous culture will become the only way for the diaspora.
