Chao Fu is an ancient saint,whose moral character and sentiment are immortal.The phenomenon of“Chao Fu”and the peaceful days of“Yao and Shun”are two symbolic images in history.Chao Fu,Nuwa and Mencius were regarded as benevolent persons in Han Shu,and Mao Zedong praised him as a“gentlemen”with“noble wisdom and morality”.As a typical example of ethnic tradition and lofty sentiment,“Chao Fu's character”has attracted much attention from research of Chinese ancient intellectual history.During the period of strengthening the building of socialist spiritual civilization and a clean and honest administration for civil servants,Chao Fu's character has also been marked as a model of ancient virtues who were indifferent to seek fame and wealth,and despised official rank standard.Exploring and revealing the value system of“Chao Fu”is of great academic value and practical significance,to advocate civil servants self-cultivation and promote socialist moral construction in the new era.
