杨寨村岩画是一幅叙事完整的阴刻岩画,它由“回”形图案、双牛字、十字、舞蹈构成古代祭祀场面,与史料记载农业祭祀活动相吻合。经考证;回形图案是祭祀土地的方形三层坛。“牛”字刻在祭坛正前方摆放祭品处,是“牺牲”。“十”字是一个“甲日”表述,指明了岩画描绘的祭祀时间。舞蹈场面反映了古人在祭祀中对农业丰收的祈盼。

The cliff painting in Yangzhai village is a complete narrative intaglio cliff painting of the ancient sacrificial scene.It is composed of Hui-shaped patterns,two Chinese characters of Niu(cattle),Chinese character of Shi(ten),and dancing figures,which is in accordance with the historical records of agricultural sacrificial activities.Through the textual research,the Hui-shaped pattern represented the square altar with three layers;the Chinese character of Niu engraved in front of the altar where the offerings were placed,represented the"sacrifice";the Chinese character of Shi was an expression of"Jia Ri",indicating the time of sacrifice depicted in cliff paintings;and the dance scene reflected ancient people’s wish for a good harvest in the sacrifice rite.
