Since the founding of the Communist Party of China, taken liberating women and giving them equal political rights as CPC’s responsibility, women’s participation in politics was one of the important symbols to measure the degree of women’s liberation. In the early stage of the first national general election, some problems appeared in the training of candidates of grass-roots women’s representatives of National People’s Congress in some pilot areas, which affected the realization of women’s political participation and the promotion of their political rights. Under the leadership of the Central Committee of the CPC, Party committees and governments at all levels had taken a series of measures to train a large number of candidates of grass-roots women’s representatives of National People’s Congress and laid a solid organizational foundation on improving women’s political rights.
