方言背景影响普通话声调范畴感知

The Influence of Dialect Experience on Categorical Perception of Mandarin Tones

本文研究方言背景对普通话声调范畴感知的影响。方法采用范畴感知研究的经典范式--识别实验和区分实验。听辨样本以PSOLA技术合成六种普通话声调对立形式的连续体:T1-T2、T1-T3、T1-T4、T2-T3、T2-T4、T3-T4。被试选取三声调博山话、四声调北京话、七声调南昌话、九声调广州话母语者。实验得到了识别曲线、边界位置、边界宽度、区分曲线、区分高峰等感知参数。结果表明,方言背景对普通话声调感知产生了复杂的影响,而不同方言背景被试对同一组声调对立具有相同的感知模式。

This dissertation investigates the influence of dialect experience on categorical perception of Mandarin tones.Identification and discrimination tasks are conducted of each Mandarin tone continua with 4 groups of listeners-Beijing dialect speakers,Boshan dialect speakers,Gan dialect speakers and Cantonese speakers,whose tone inventories of the four dialects are totally different.Tone continua are sythetized using PSOLA:T1-T2,T3-T4,T1-T3,T2-T4,T1-T4,T2-T3.Perception parameters including the identification curves,positions of identification boundary,boundary widths,discrimination curves,discrimination peaks and predicted discrimination curves are investigated.Results suggests that perception parameters differ significantly across the 4 groups of listens in every continuum,which means dialect experiences do have complicated influences on the categorical perception of Mandarin tones.All groups of listeners show the same modes to the perception of Mandarin tones,categorical perception for T1-T2,T1-T3,T1-T4 and T2-T4 continuums while continuous perception for T2-T3 and T3-T4 continuums.
