As the core of the socialist diplomatic thought with Chinese characteristics in the new era, the construction of A Community of Shared Future for Mankind contains rich connotations of peace thought, contributing Chinese wisdom to world peace and development. On the other hand, with the establishment of independent discipline status of western international relations, the theory of international relations built up by western academic circles around the issues of war and peace has also been systematically developed, for example, the Theory of Balance of Power and Peace, the Hegemonic Stability Theory, the International Institutional Peace Theory, the Community Peace Theory, and the ideas of peace advocated by Johan Galtung, and so on. These theories of peace from the western world are undoubtedly of certain positive significance in promoting world peace and maintaining the stability of the international community. Compared with the peace thoughts in the western international relations theories, we can understand more comprehensively and accurately the peace thought contained in the construction of A Community of Shared Future for Mankind. The thought of constructing A Community of Shared Future for Mankind dialectically absorbs various ideas and views on peace, and what is more, its tenets of justice, equality, pluralism and openness have gone beyond the old ideas and views on peace. This makes the initiative of A Community of Shared Future for Mankind more acceptable in a global sense.
