Objective To investigate the efficacy and safety of estrogen combined with oxytocin in the treatment of postpartum hemorrhage due to uterine atony. Methods 80 cases of postpartum hemorrhage due to uterine inertia were randomly divided into two groups from February 2016 to February 2019.The control group was treated with oxytocin alone, while the observation group was treated with estrogen combined with uterine contraction agents. The clinical efficacy, postpartum hemorrhage volume, prognosis and adverse reactions of the two groups were compared. Results The effective rate of the observation group was 95%,which was significantly higher than 70%of the control group(P<0.05);the amount of bleeding within 2 hours and 2~24 hours after treatment in the observation group was significantly less than that in the control group(P<0.05);the rate of hysterectomy and mortality in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05);the incidence of adverse reactions such as nausea, vomiting, headache, chest distress and breast distention in the observation group was significantly lower(P<0.05).Conclusion The combination of estrogen and uterine contraction agent has a significant effect on postpartum hemorrhage caused by uterine inertia. It can effectively enhance uterine contraction, reduce postpartum hemorrhage and improve prognosis. The incidence of adverse reactions is low,and it has high effectiveness and safety.
