According to the onsite visit of Eric Owen Moss's office and all his works in Culver City, California, America, and the analysis about audiovisual materials, Moss's creation ideas, this paper sorts out an implicit experimental sequence of his architectural works ever since he started his office in 1973. The authors summarise Moss's architectural philosophy "perpetual provisionality" based on his experimental work in five periods, which are the combination of geometric entities, the overlap of complicated geometric entities, the "Glue" and materials, the approaches of generating spaces and shapes, the landscape elements."Perpetual provisionality" to Moss, actually means no long-term guidelines or models exist, the only thing that lasts long is moving from one experimental stage of provisionally model to another.
