媒体式图书馆的嬗变与登陆——兼论天津滨海图书馆

Evolution and Landing of Media Library: with a Reevaluation of Binhai Library, Tianjin

天津滨海图书馆在作为"网红建筑"引爆网络之后,仅从设计师自身的话语和先例来评价,对于两极化的争议是不够的。本文尝试分别梳理图书馆主体空间随着知识向信息的转变,从存储、阅读到交往为主的嬗变,阐释中国本土图书馆在公共性的匮乏和媒体化的召唤的层压之下,对于媒体角色为主的新型图书馆的需求,以此回顾滨海图书馆的设计,指明中庭中的镜面圆球代表的对交往空间的开启,和媒体现场的摹写,是MVRDV对这类图书馆在中国登陆和发展的最大贡献。

After the Tianjin Binhai Library made a stir on the internet as a celebrity effect,it wouldn’ t suffice to reconcile the polarized controversy if only approached from the designer’s own discourse and precedents.This paper attempts to sort out the transition of the main library space from stack,reading to communication along with the substitution of information for knowledge,thus elucidating the lack of publicity and call for media in current Chinese libraries,now laminated into a demand for a new media-role-based library.From this angle of view,the design of the Tianjin Binhai Library is reevaluated with the globe within the atrium being highlighted for its opening of a communication space and imitation of instantaneous media,which indicates the concrete contribution of MVRDV to the new trend of libraries in China.
