解放碑项目由一栋以酒店和办公为主要功能的200米塔楼,以及一个地形上处在有趣位置的商业裙房组成,它身处重庆最繁忙的闹市区,毗邻古老的罗汉寺。该项目名为"城市宝塔",把商业大楼的体量和裙房分为阶梯式的"盒子"语言,以显示对古寺的敬意。依据古寺对人的需求,商业塔楼和裙房实行了并置,此举很认真地设法完成并创造出一个崭新、独特的区域。商业裙房被构建为一条两端相通的街道,方便连接到现有的城市文瞅并在框架结构上很好地^用了与古寺相关联的位置优势。该办公楼高于裙楼{旦仍保留了街道的存在。阶梯式的裙楼和塔楼通过屋顶露台和空中花园营造出了生机勃勃的第五立面。

The JieFangBei Project consists of a 200m Office and Hotel tower and a retail podium that sits on a topographically interesti ng site adjace nt to the ancie nt Luohan Si Arhat temple in the busiest downtown area of Chongqing. Named the "Urban Pagoda", the massing of the commercial tower and podium is broken down into a stepped ''box' language to respect the stepped gable and scale of the historic temple, the juxtaposition of the commercial tower and podium against the huma n scale of the temple is carefully man aged creating a new unique quarter for city. The retail podium is constructed as a street that opens on both ends to facilitate connectivity to the existing urban grain and to take advantage and frame views of its relationship with the temple. The office tower grows out of the podium but retains a street presenee. The terraci ng podium and tower creates an active fifth elevati on with roof terraces and sky gardens.
