自我决定理论视角下高校外语教师幸福感的影响因素研究——以吉林省某高校为例 被引量:1

摘要 教师的幸福感对教师的教学投入及教学效果起着至关重要的作用。一些调查显示,当下我国高校外语教师存在着职业倦怠等问题,而缺少幸福感是主要原因之一。目前,对高校教师幸福感影响因素的研究很多,但对影响的内在因素的研究却寥寥无几。本研究运用自我决定理论,从心理学视角,对吉林省某高校外语教师的幸福感影响因素之内在因素进行了定量调查和分析。研究结果表明:(1)与以前研究相比,高校教师的幸福感处于中等偏下水平;(2)幸福感主要受自主需求、能力胜任需求和关联需求以及个人目标中的内在目标的影响。本研究结果有助于高校领导者有针对性地制定相关政策。同时本研究也检验了自我决定理论在中国国情下解释教师幸福感的能力,并对目前我国高等教育改革背景下如何提高教师、特别是外语教师的幸福感提出了一些对策建议。 Lecturers’ wellbeing plays an important role in teaching commitments and teaching effectiveness. Some investigation has shown that there are some job burnout among lecturers of teaching English as a foreign language(TEFL). One of the reasons for that is lacking of wellbeing. Although there are many research on it, there has been limited research on the internal factors.This study did some investigation and analysis on the internal factors affecting the lecturers’ wellbeing. The findings showed that:(1)compared with the previous study, the status of lecturers’ wellbeing was under the average level;(2)the wellbeing was influenced by the basic psychological needs which are autonomy, competence, relatedness and internal goals. The findings are significant for leaders in higher education who need to implement policies that foster effective work environments. The study has also provided insights into the capacity of self-determination theory to explain wellbeing in a Chinese culture. At the end of the article, the writer presented some suggestions on how to increase the wellbeing of lecturers, especially TEFL lecturers in the context of Chinese higher education.
