池州新见晚清通奉大夫桂正华墓志考释

A Textual Study of Newly Unearthed Gui Zhenghua’s Epigraph of Late Qing Dynasty

近年安徽池州地区出土的《皇清诰封通奉大夫桂君墓志》颇具价值,墓志详实记载了近代地方贤宦桂正华的生平事迹及石埭桂氏家族等情况。桂氏早年入幕曾国藩,历任宝应、东台、甘泉、江宁、山阳、沭阳、萧县等地知县。志文所涉及的相关人物、事件能与奏稿、方志、家谱等史料相印正,对于研究咸同兵燹后的社会变迁等相关问题亦具有一定的学术价值。

The newly unearthed Gui Zhenghua’s Epigraph in Chizhou,Anhui is of high value. the epigraph records Gui Zhenghua’d life story and Gui’s family in modern times. Gui once jointed the assistant to work for Zeng Guofan, and served successively as magistrate of a county of Baoying,Dongtai, Ganquan,Jiangning, Shanyang,Shuyang and Xiao. The people, events correspond to the memorials, local chronicles, genealogy and so on,which has the academic value for social change after the war havoc under the reign of Emperor Xianfeng and Tongzhi.
