Children's literature cannot present death in a grave and decaying manner as it is in adult literature. CHANG Xingang, by applying a wealth of narrative skills to undermine the circumstance of death, has developed his own style (Chang's style) to present the essence of death, which sculpts death into an unavoidable motif in children's literature. Accordingly, his works could also be viewed as special textbooks for death education in early childhood.
