Cicada Carving

趴在竹节上的蝉,黄葛树叶上的蝉,葵花上的蝉……在唐琦工作室,我们见到了各式各样以蝉为主题的黄杨木雕作品。今年54 岁的唐琦,是重庆市工艺美术大师,市级非物质文化遗产渝派黄杨木雕传承人。“黄杨木雕”“东阳木雕”“龙眼木雕”“金漆木雕”并称为“中国四大木雕”。

The cicada lying on the bamboo joint, the cicada on the leaves of the ficus virens, the cicada on the sunflower… At Tang Qi's studio, we saw various wood carvings of boxwood with cicada as the theme. Tang Qi, 54 years old, is an arts and crafts master in Chongqing and the inheritor of Chongqing-school boxwood carving - a municipal intangible cultural heritage.
