适龄儿童读书、上学,接受义务教育,是法律赋予的权利。但还有一部分孩子,却因为身体等原因不能像其他孩子一样正常到学校入学。为确保他们享有接受义务教育的权利,彭水苗族土家族自治县组织当地各中小学校为他们提供送教上门服务,并完善其学籍,破解“因病畏学”。在彭水,有400多个无法正常上学的孩子,在送教老师的帮助下重新开始了学习,而且增添了克服困难的勇气和信心。

School-age children are entitled to read books, go to school and receive compulsory education. Yet for some children, due to physical limitations, they cannot go to school to enjoy the education as other normal kids. To ensure their rights to compulsory education, Pengshui Miao Tujia Autonomous County organized local primary and secondary schools to provide these vulnerable kids with home delivery education, and completed their school registration process, thereby "erasing their fears of learning because of physical limitations". With the help of these teachers, more than 400 children who were unable to attend school in Pengshui resumed their studies, and gained confidence and coverage to tackle future obstacles head on.
