Jing'an Temple is one of the most famous Buddhist temples with a history of more than 780 years in Shanghai,located at West Nanjing Road,the flourishing downtown area of the city.In 1983,it was put on the list of key national protection sites and its peaceful interior,architecture and gold exterior stand in complete contrast with the adjacent highrise buildings and noisy city streets.Here a group of Buddhist monks perform a cleansing ritual and blessing.
