This paper proposes a basic principle and troubleshooting method for automatic transmission fault diagnosis. Based on the principle and method, the diagnosis and troubleshooting process of oil leakage fault is given. The fault case of a 6AT automatic transmission is taken as an example to solve the fault case. The analysis and analysis results show that the fault diagnosis principle and troubleshooting method proposed in this paper are effective, which can greatly shorten the fault diagnosis cycle of the automatic transmission, optimize the troubleshooting process, and provide a new idea for the fault diagnosis and troubleshooting of the automatic transmission.
