李清照《醉花阴》5种英译文翻译策略体系描写与分析

The Descriptive Study and Analysis of the Five English Versions of Zui Hua Yin by Li Qingzhao with the Translation Strategy System

本文以李清照词《醉花阴》的5种英译文为研究对象,采用汉语古诗英译策略框架,从译诗语言的易化、形式多样化、词语转换、附翻译四个层次分析了5位译者所使用的翻译策略。分析发现,5位译者在策略使用上有相似之处,但也存在很大差异,不过四个层次的翻译策略配合使用,最终服务于译者的整体翻译目标。

This paper takes the five English versions of Li Qingzhao’s Zui Hua Yin as the research object. By drawing on the system of strategies in the English translation of Chinese classical poems, it analyses the translation strategies of five different translators in terms of linguistic variety, formal diversification, translation and para-translation strategies. The analysis finds that despite some similarities, most of the time, five translators employ different strategies. Nevertheless, translation strategies on the four levels are used cooperatively to serve the translator ’s translation aim.
