清代韵语类史籍《四言史征》考论

Compilation and Transmission of Si Yan Shi Zheng in the Qing Dynasty

韵语类史籍读起来朗朗上口,适合于历史知识的普及与传播。康熙年间由葛震编纂的《诗史》即是成功的一例,此书后经曹荃注释,改名曰《四言史征》,两者不仅在内容上有很大的差别,而且在思想观念上也不尽相同。此书在社会上流传极广,也得到名人大家的鼎力支持,是一部重要的普及性史书。

History books written in rhythmical language are easy to read and convenient to popularize and disseminate historical facts.Shi Shi or The History of Poetry,compiled by Ge Zhen during Emperor Kangxi’s reign in the Qing Dyansty,is a successful example.Later on,Cao Quan gave the book its needed annotations and changed its name into Si Yan Shi Zheng(四言史征).The two versions differ both in content and in philosophy.The latter is favorably acclaimed by critics and widely circulated in the society,becoming an important book in terms of popularizing history.
