This article summarizes and analyzes recommendations of the“Acute-on-chronic liver failure:consensus recommendations of the Asian Pacific Association for the Study of the Liver(APASL):an update(2019)”on the concept,definition,treatment,prognosis of acute-on-chronic liver failure(ACLF)and ACLF in children,so as to promote a better understanding of clinical physicians on the guideline(2019 edition)and provide guidance for clinical practice of ACLF.
