This paper analyzes the Beijing writings in the new century of three different intergenerational writers, Beidao, Yan Lianke and Xu Zechen, points out that they represent the life and travel in international cities or the life experiences in local and other small towns of China with a personal imprint, which are included in their writings about Beijing. These different geographical spaces constitute both their literary world and a “literary map” with Beijing as the radiation center or reference object, which not only expands the space of Beijing literature, but also has opened new research spaces and provided an opportunity to rethink the theme “city and people”.
