摘要
沈约《宋书》不立“文学传”,李延寿以此为由,在所著《南史·文学传》中以通常被视为南齐人的丘灵鞠居首。后世对《南史·文学传》这一体例多有诟病,其中尤以四库馆臣为甚。经由考察《南史·文学传》及诸类传体例,可知李延寿的做法自有道理,后人批评有失公允。
Shen Yue didn t set up literati biography in History of Song Dynasty , thus when Li Yan-shou wrote History of Southern Dynasties , he just put Qiu Ling-ju, a Southern Qi person, at the beginning of his literati biography. This principle was somehow unreasonable, so it was criticized by later generations, especially by officials in Si-Ku. Through studying principles of the literati biography and other kinds of biographies in History of Southern Dynasties , this paper insists that Li Yan-shou s practice should be understood, and the criticism from later generations is unfair.
