改革开放40年来,我国公共图书馆事业取得了令人可喜的成就,图书馆事业管理发挥了重要作用。政府是公共图书馆事业的建设主体,承担着管理公共图书馆事业的责任。国家和地方加强对公共图书馆事业的建设与管理,逐渐形成了政策法律、发展规划与评估定级"三驾马车"并驾齐驱的中国特色管理模式。

In the past 40 years of reform and opening-up, library management has played an important role in the gratifying achievements made by Chinese public libraries. As the construction subject of public libraries, the government must be responsible for the management of public libraries. Therefore a management mode of public libraries with Chinese characteristics has been gradually taking shape since the state and local governments began to strengthen the construction and management of public libraries through the"troika"of policies and laws, development programs, evaluation and rating.
