摘要
珍珠层因其优越的力学性能在生物矿化领域被视为模式研究对象,然而关于珍珠层板片的形貌和排列、内部结构及形成机理目前尚未达成统一认识。目前珍珠层的形成机理均基于成熟板片结构间接推断,因此观察珍珠层板片的整个形成过程,尤其是通过对不成熟板片观察分析其形成机理是今后的重要研究方向。
Nacre has served as a classic model in the field of biomineralization because of the outstanding mechanical properties.However,the platelets of nacre are still under hot debate in terms of their morphology and arrangement,inner structure,and the formation mechanism,which are summarized here by comparing the flat and domed platelets.It is clear that,to date,the platelet’s formation mechanism is deduced indirectly based on the studies of mature platelets.Future research should focus on observing the platelets with different growth stages,especially the immature platelets.
