Discussion on Transport Industry of Modern Suiyuan Camel

绥远驼运业随着清初统一北方的战争而兴起,因北部边疆社会秩序的稳定和商品经济的发展而繁荣,又随着清末和民国期间时局动荡、日本侵华战争以及现代交通工具的出现等多重压力而走向衰落。在其兴起、繁荣、衰落的历程中,无不映射出一个时代的政治、经济、文化环境面貌。本文以绥远驼运业为研究对象,试图梳理其发展历程、内部组织、经营特色及驼工的日常生活等史实细节,探寻一个行业兴衰背后的时代背景与社会因素,总结边疆民族地区经济与政治文化之间的互动规律。

Taking the transportation industry of camels in suiyuan as the research object, this paper attempts to sort out its development process, internal organization, operation characteristics, daily life of camel workers and other historical details, explore the background and social factors behind the rise and fall of an industry, and summarize the law of interaction between economy and political culture in border ethnic areas.
