The Different Enumerations of Indian Siddhas: the Reasons Behind the Popularity of the Eighty-four Siddhas

本文以各类版本《大藏经·丹珠尔》等为研究基础,将古印度佛教大成就者划分为九派,并对各派的文献源流、分派缘由,以及这些派别中为何以“八十四大成就者”派最为闻名等进行了较为全面而系统的研究。

Based on the different versions of Tenjur and other standard Tibetan documents, this article briefly discusses the nine different enumerations of Mahasiddhas of ancient India, the documents that contain them,and the reasons behind the differences and the popularity of the Eightyfour Mahasiddhas among the nine enumerations.
