Public Waterfront Space Design Practice of the East Bund of the Huangpu River in Shanghai

从街区、城市、城市群3个尺度总结法国当代城市滨水公共空间的重要性及设计方法,并阐述其在上海黄浦江东岸公共空间设计中的实践原则和成果,及其中哲学、美学、人文方面的思考。

This paper summarizes the design concepts and significance of public waterfront space in contemporary France on three levels: residential neighborhood, the city and the constellation of cities. It explicates the principles and outputs of the design practice of public waterfront space east of the Huangpu River in Shanghai, with reflections on philosophy, aesthetics and culture and humanities in this project.
